In an op-ed column in the New York Times Thursday, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg officially announced that he's not running for president (which basically means he could run in a few months by saying, "Back in February it was true, I wasn't running. Now I am."). Then again, who in their right mind would want to compete with Ralph Nader for the independent vote? Even a billionaire like Bloomberg fears the Naderites.
For the past few months, Bloomberg, the Democrat-
turned-Republican-turned-neither, has flirted with the national news media sparking a plethora of "will he or won't he" articles. Although he has laid out his positions and views on the upcoming election rather solidly in the op-ed, clearly there's something he's not saying. Thankfully for those of us who are hoping to mine his real thoughts, we located his own marked-up version of the op-ed.
