Bears QB Grossman Buys Trump Tower Condo

Chicago Bears backup quarterback Rex Grossman is among the first condo buyers in Chicago's Trump International Hotel & Tower, Crain's reports.

[Grossman] paid $2.68 million earlier this month for a 3,437-square-foot unit in the tower at 401 N. Wabash Ave. along with two parking spaces, according to property records filed with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds.

The purchase price is slightly less than the one-year, $3-million contract -- not including incentives -- that Mr. Grossman signed early this year with the Bears, when he was still in the running for the starter's job.

The quarterback's unit includes two bedrooms, four bathrooms, a den and a 17-by-12-foot "Media Room."

Around 20 buyers have closed on their condos since Aug. 1.
