If only Olbermann, during these anti-Murdoch sessions, would throw in, no matter how briefly, that Murdoch's politics are no different from what they were in November, 1998, when Olbermann went to work for Murdoch's Fox Sports Net.
And Murdoch's politics were no different in 1999, 2000 and 2001, when Olbermann was paid several million dollars of Murdoch's money to work for Fox Sports. At one point, Fox was paying Olbermann a reported $2.5 million a year.
It might also be worth an on-air mention by Olbermann that Murdoch spent a small fortune promoting Olbermann's arrival at Fox Sports.
If Olbermann's national TV presence and celebrity status were sustained from November 1998 through May 2001 and if his earnings were sustained or improved over that period - and they almost certainly were - they were done so on Fox's time and Murdoch's dime.
