Bush Legal Advisor Michael Scudder Joins Skadden's Chicago Office

A former legal adviser to George W. Bush is joining the Chicago office of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom.

Michael Scudder, who advised the Bush administration on defense, intelligence, legislative and litigation matters, will be a partner in Skadden's litigation practice. Mr. Scudder worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, where he oversaw the Iraqi High Tribunal through the Regime Crimes Liaison's Office, prior to his taking his post at the White House in 2007.
