Daley Backs Top Cop After Union's 'No-Confidence' Vote

Mayor Richard M. Daley today downplayed a police department union's "no-confidence" vote against Police Supt. Jody Weis, saying he still had confidence in the top cop.

"I supported Supt. Weis. He's done a tremendous job. He's a very good, honest superintendent. He has a difficult job. All superintendents have," Daley said. "He has great experience, great judgment."
