California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger told reporters Friday afternoon that President Obama meant no harm by the comment he made about the Special Olympics during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
"I know, because of conversations I've had with the president about Special Olympics ... I know where his heart is at," Schwarzenegger said. "He loves Special Olympics, he would do anything he can to help Special Olympics."
Schwarzenegger chalked up Obama's gaffe to a simple "oops" moment.
"Every one of us sometimes makes a mistake," Schwarzenegger said. "Sometimes something comes out of your mouth and you say 'Oops, I wish I wouldn't have said that.' I've had many of those."WATCH:
