Via Buzzfeed comes our introduction to the bizarre "sport" of Mutton Busting. It's basically a rodeo for little kid cowboys (and perhaps entertainment for the parents?) in which young children strap on helmets and are themselves then strapped to sheep, where they hang on for dear life (about 5 seconds) until being thrown by the frenetic animal.
It looks kind of fun if you're a six-year-old, but also seems a bit dangerous. We're not really sure. There is a lot of cheering at these events though, and some of the arenas are startlingly large.
