Standard Hotels Offer Swimsuit Vending Machines

Standard Hotels Offer Swimsuit Vending Machines

Forgot your swim trunks, but aching to take a dip in the pool? Standard Hotels has partnered with Quiksilver to cobrand men's and women's swimsuits, which will be sold in poolside vending machines at the company's hotels.

WWD has the details on the designs. Women can purchase a black bikini in one of three sizes, while there are four men's styles from waist sizes 30 to 36:

Each one is inspired by The Standard's four locations in downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Miami and New York. The $75 boardshorts are made in Quiksilver's ultralightweight, "diamond dobby" stretch material, which prevents rashes, with a retro scalloped leg and packaged in a waterproof travel bag.

And a "Quik City Guide" will be printed on each waistband, directing swimsuit wearers to local hotspots.

The machines will also sell $10 zines and local artwork. Can't make it to the vending machine? The Standard swimsuits can also be purchased in boutiques and online at shopthestandard.com.
