House Of Blues Security Guard Taped Assaulting Woman: Police (VIDEO)

A burly House of Blues security guard who was caught on a cell phone camera allegedly manhandling a young woman posted bail Tuesday, a day after he was arrested.

Darrell G. Gibson II, 31, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery after a verbal disagreement with a fan turned physical following Monday night's Hanson concert, Chicago Police spokesman Roderick Drew told the Huffington Post.

Cell phone video footage of the incident shows Gibson grabbing the woman by the neck and slamming her to the ground outside the downtown concert venue. The woman lies motionless for several seconds before getting up and again being thrown down.

The video also shows Gibson shoving another woman who was trying to recover her friend's confiscated camera and he can be heard telling two fellow security guards to "keep that bitch away from me."

Gibson appeared to have taken the camera after he believed it was used to take his picture.

Police responded to 9-1-1 calls and arrested Gibson Monday night, Drew said. Police said Gibson told them he worked for the House of Blues. Live Nation, which owns House of Blues, has not identified Gibson as an employee.

In a statement, the company said, "An incident occurred on Monday night outside House of Blues involving an individual and a security guard. We take our responsibility to maintain the safety of both our patrons and the artists who play at the House of Blues very seriously. We are looking into the incident and will cooperate fully with the authorities."

Gibson was released on a $1,000 bond and faces a Nov. 5 court hearing.

UPDATE: The Tribune reports that three House of Blues employees have been suspended without pay while the fight is investigated.
