Nostalgia Subway Hosts Vintage Tea Party

Nostalgia Subway Hosts Vintage Tea Party

New Yorkers put on their Sunday best yesterday, not for church, but for the MTA Nostalgia Train running on the V line between Queens and 2nd Avenue. The MTA announced that the train cars which were preserved in the 1930s style would be running every Sunday this December from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As NBC New York reported last week, a tour group planned an unofficial vintage tea party to accompany the Sunday subway ride. Click through the pictures below to find ladies and dandies enjoying the ceiling-fanned, wicker-chaired subway cars, complete with vintage no-smoking signs.
