Oprah's Obama Christmas Special Draws Big Ratings For ABC

For ABC, Oprah plus Obama equals ratings.

Sunday night's "Christmas at the White House" special, in which Oprah interviewed the president and first lady and showed off the holiday decorations at the White House, drew 11.8 million total viewers.

That wasn't nearly enough to knock NBC's "Sunday Night Football" out of the top slot (the Eagles-Giants game averaged 21.9 million viewers overall and around 18 million viewers during the 10PM hour), but it was enough to qualify as ABC's best 10PM ratings since Adam Lambert's infamous American Music Awards performance last month, according to the New York Post.
