O'Hare Delays: 50 More Flights Canceled (UPDATE)

As the entire Midwest recovers from a brutal snowstorm Thursday, flight patterns are returning to normal at Chicago's two major airports. .

Four hundred flights were canceled Thursday out of O'Hare International Airport (ORD), the world's second-largest airport by passenger volume. Roughly 50 more flights are reported canceled on Friday, but aggressive de-icing efforts have led to a relatively regular schedule of arrivals and departures.

Midway Airport (MDW), O'Hare's smaller neighbor that is dominated by Southwest Airlines, has bounced back more quickly, with no reported cancellations as of Friday. As of now, delays at Midway are only minor.
