Paul Ingrassia, author of the new book "Crash Course," was on the Daily Show last night to talk about the state of the auto industry after its bailouts. Detroit, he says, has been humbled, and recent developments in the industry are in smaller cars. Ingrassia suggests that the auto bailout was more "cumbersome" than the financial bailout because of the romanticization of the auto industry. "No one writes songs about banks," he said.
