Apparently, removing a laugh track from a sitcom that blatantly relies on it somehow makes it funnier. Though perhaps not in the way it was originally intended. In this clip from "Big Bang Theory," the canned laughs are removed, leaving a series of awkward interactions and silences. Needless to say, it's fantastic.
The clip originated after a request by "Tim and Eric"'s Tim Heidecker on Twitter. An hour later he received his gift, and we're all grateful.
