Corey Cooper Nebraska Bound: Prospect Turns Back On Illinois (VIDEO)

Corey Cooper committed to Nebraska today after many expected him to go to Illinois.

ESPN reports that Cooper was committed to Illinois since his sophomore year, but Illini coaching changes made him rethink his choice.

At Proviso East High School in Illinois, Cooper did it all -- "he returned kicks, caught passes and intercepted passes at safety." He's expected to play safety at Nebraska.

Nebraska earlier in the day convinced quarterback Brion Carnes to come on board, as Carnes switched his commitment from Western Kentucky.

Many schools had been courting Cooper, including Arizona.
