Cuomo's History Gives Gay Groups Pause

LGBT activists and advocacy groups are reacting cautiously to the fact that Governor David A. Paterson's withdrawal from this year's election contest has made Attorney General Andrew Cuomo the presumptive Democratic nominee to succeed him.

Among those who would comment to Gay City News, praise for Cuomo's LGBT rights advocacy and his other achievements as attorney general was mixed with criticism, some of it uncompromising, for incidents where he has angered the gay community.
