Stephanie Buckhannon, Mother Of Three, Forced To Move Family Into Homeless Shelter

After a year of job hunting proved unsuccessful, Stephanie Buckhannon had to make a decision she thought she would never have to make -- to take her three young children to a homeless shelter. The heat and running water in their house was shut off, because Buckhannon couldn't pay the bills. Moving her children into a homeless shelter soon became the only viable option to get the family through a rough winter.

In rural Georgia, where the Buckhannons live, resources are scarce: unemployment rates are high and there is only one homeless shelter in over 100 miles. CNN profiled the Buckhannon family on Thursday, March 18.
