Betsy Markey Receiving Threats Of Violence Over Health Care Vote

KDVR's Eli Stokols reports that Colorado Congresswoman Betsy Markey has received violent threats via telephone this week in response to her vote for the health care reform bill on Sunday.

Markey's office has contacted police in her home town of Fort Collins and asked them to step up patrols around her office and home just as a precaution.

"It is affecting the public schedule," said Anne Caprara, who works in Markey's Washington office. "There's definitely a lot of concern up here that something's going to happen."

According to Stokols, Markey is not one of the ten Congressmen who were assigned extra security after angry constituents threatened them for supporting reform.

The FBI is also investigating a severed gas line at the home of the brother of Virginia Democrat Tom Perriello.
