About 300 students at Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville picketed today to protest planned teacher layoffs and budget cuts.
The protest occurred during their study hall period, officials said.
"I was fed up and venting," said Yessienia Mejia, a senior at Dundee-Crown, who said she helped organize the protest with her classmates.
