Is Heidi and Spencer's breakup just a stunt to get publicity for their new series?
Last week Heidi moved out of the home she shared with Spencer and into a Malibu "hideaway" with friend Jennifer Bunney for a summer of filming and to "get away from the lies."
The hideaway is a $5.5 million mansion where Heidi did her Playboy shoot last year. See photos here.
Wednesday Spencer stopped by the house for a visit, a source told Radaronline.com.
"Heidi and Spencer are obviously still on speaking terms," the source said. "I would be surprised if he isn't even living at the house."
Spencer was also snapped Tuesday in Malibu, getting breakfast and talking about how he used to have a wife.
Meanwhile Jen Bunney insists the drama is real.
"This isn't a joke," she told the LA Times.
Which isn't to say Heidi is so upset she can't film with Spencer.
"She's not a ball on the floor crying or anything," Jen said of Heidi. "I don't see how he wouldn't be on the show, given what they're going through. To what extent he'll be on, we don't know yet."
The Shannon twins, Hugh Hefner's former girlfriends, are also moving in for the summer, according to Heidi's Twitter.
"Had an amazing day with one of my new best friends @Kristinashn1! I cant wait for her to move in and have a kick ass summer!!!" she wrote. "Everyone follow my good friends the Shannon Twins @Kristinashn1 and @Karissashannon1 ;-)"
