Amy Palmiero-Winters Joins U.S. Track And Field Team -- With Prosthetic Leg

Amy Palmiero-Winters is a natural runner. She recently completed one of the most grueling marathons imaginable. She ran 130 miles in under 24 hours. And she did it all with a prosthetic leg.

The single mother of two was told she would never run again, a diagnosis that she found unacceptable. She's now the first person to be added to the U.S. Track and Field team with a prosthetic limb.

NBC Nightly News profiled Palmiero-Winters as part of their "Making A Difference" series.
