A new technique of using animal cartilage and ligaments to put into human knees has revolutionized the ability for people to find joint replacement parts, according to Dr. Kevin Stone, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine and injuries of the knee. These treatment methods have been used successfully in individuals of all ages, including professional athletes.
Dr. Stone is recognized internationally as an authority on cartilage and meniscal growth, replacement, and repair.
