Bucktown Apple Pie Contest Coming To A Belly Near You

Bucktown Apple Pie Contest Coming To A Belly Near You

Fancy yourself an apple pie connoisseur? Whip up your finest creation and vie for the title, or just come to the Northwest Side with a few bucks and a fork.

This weekend's Bucktown Apple Pie Contest benefits The Friends of Holstein Park. There is a $15 registration fee and two identical homemade pies must be presented to the judges. The apple pies will have their own pageant where judges will score the pies based on their appearance, crust, filling and overall flavor. Come find out who will take home the top prize for the tastiest, best-looking creation.

Remember this is an apple pie contest: no strudels, and no non-apple fruits.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants. If competition is not your thing, don't worry, you can still bring a finished pie to the event to be sold by the slice as part of the fundraiser. For those only interested in pie eating, slices can be purchased for $3.

Registration is currently open, but limited to the first 150 entries.
