NBC's 'School Pride' Does Extreme School Makeovers

NBC's "School Pride", a new series produced by "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Cheryl Hines and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's" Denise Cramsey, is transforming rundown buildings into sparkling education centers in under two weeks.

In a promotional video, Hines elaborates on the show's goals to inspire pride:

"Kids need to feel proud of their school. They need to have a place they can go everyday and feel good when they walk through the doors."

The pilot arrives at Compton's Enterprise Middle School, nicknamed "Enter Prison" by the students for its dilapidated facilities.

The program recruits communities and students to work together to renovate schools in hopes that collaboration will breed a better learning environment.

Parents' uplifting comments on the website affirm that the show holds true to its name. Catch the series premiere on NBC, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. /7 p.m. CT.
