Nonprofit Flies Vet To Best Friend's Wedding

Iraq veteran, Sgt. Scott Wallace, 23, faced a dilemma: he had no way of getting from his base in North Carolina to his best friend's wedding in Allentown, PA.

New York Daily News reports that the soldier, who had been wounded by a sniper while serving overseas in 2007, was desperately short on cash and without a reliable lift.

Luckily, Veterans Airlift Command, a Minnesota-based nonprofit that links volunteer pilots with wounded veterans, answered Wallace's call in time for him to play best man at the alter.
