Jewish Christmas At Aria: Three-Course Chinese Dinner And A Movie Ticket

Jewish Christmas At Aria Restaurant: Chinese Food And A Movie

Jews around the world celebrated the Festival of Lights a little early this year, as the whims of the lunar calendar put Chanukah right in the beginning of December. But now that it's Christmastime, there are some more longstanding Jewish traditions to engage in: namely, Chinese food for dinner, and a trip to the movies on a night when the lines are guaranteed to be short.

Aria, an Asian fusion restaurant in the glamorous Fairmont Hotel downtown, has seized on the concept this yuletide season. The cleverly named "Sticks and a Flick" event is a specially designed, "traditional Jewish Christmas dinner" on the 25th -- that is, a three-course Chinese menu.

And the dinner price tag includes a "Gold Experience" ticket to the AMC River East 21 Theaters, right across the river on Illinois St. That ticket is good for any movie, including new releases and special engagements.

This sounds like a perfect deal for all the JDaters out there. Take that special someone, and make Chanukah come around twice this Christmas.
