Rare vehicles from the 1930's, motorcycles, and artwork are just some of the items being auctioned off this Saturday after being seized in Colorado's Ponzi scheme.
Shawn Merriman, a former bishop with the Church of Latter Day Saints, was sentenced in 2009 to more than 12 years in prison for defrauding 67 investors, including John Elway. Merriman had used investors' money on safari trips in Africa, a Rolls Royce, Jaguar, and other luxurious expenses excessive $20 million.
As part of his sentence, a judge ordered Merriman to pay back $20.1 million in restitution to his victims.
