According to a new set of rankings from the Peace Corps, the University of Colorado-Boulder currently has the most alumni serving overseas for the volunteer organization of any school in the nation.
George Washington University topped the list of mid-sized colleges with 72 undergraduate alumni in the Peace Corps, while the University of Mary Washington beat other small colleges with 32 graduates working with the organization.
The Peace Corps relied on self-reported information gathered from volunteers and used fiscal year data circa Sept. 30, 2010. Although University of Colorado nabbed the No. 1 spot this year, the University of California-Berkeley remains at the top of the all-time rankings, with 3,457 total graduates volunteering with the Peace Corps.
