EXCLUSIVE: Chris Hardwick Talks 'Nerdist' Podcast, Comedy On The Internet At SXSW (VIDEO)

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Hardwick Talks The Future Of Online Comedy

Chris Hardwick is a busy, busy man. He may have launched his career in the '90s as the host of "Singled Out" on MTV, but today, he performs hilarious stand-up comedy around the country, hosts G4's "Web Soup," performs in the musical comedy duo Hard 'n Phirm, and is a regular contributor for Wired.

Hardwick may be currently best known as the curator of Nerdist, a blog celebrating technology with a comedic bent. The Nerdist Podcast, a weekly interview series that Hardwick co-hosts with comedians Jonah Ray and Matt Mira, has featured guests from the comedy and nerd worlds -- it may be the only podcast that has featured both Bill Maher and Wil Wheaton.

We had a chance to chat with Hardwick last week at South By Southwest, where he recorded a live Nerdist Podcast with special guest John Oliver. Check out the interview below for Chris' thoughts on the future of comedy on the Internet, and how he's used interactive media to harness his own career. (Warning, some NSFW language.)
