Carla Bruni Speaks In Woody Allen's 'Midnight In Paris' Trailer (VIDEO)

Fire up "La Marseillaise"!

Carla Bruni is set to make her silver screen debut in Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris," and the trailer just dropped. Carla makes a short cameo in the teaser, standing outside at the Rodin Museum, saying, "Rose was the wife," whatever that means. But we hung on her every word.

Of course, Carla's role didn't come without the drama. A source told People.com during the shooting, "Carla and Woody got along incredibly well on the set. They talked constantly and laughed quite a lot between takes. Owen as well....[However,] they must have shot the same set up, where she walks along holding a baguette in her hand going into a supermarket around 32 times." And another remarked to the Daily Mail, "She seemed to be struggling to avoid looking directly into the camera, which didn't impress Woody. The baguette scene could not have been simpler, but she wanted to make it a big one. That's why she had to keep shooting it over and over again."

But all's well that end's well! The movie will open the Cannes Film Festival in May.
