3 Ejected From Heat-Wizards Game

UPDATE: The NBA has handed out some punishments for the scuffle during Wednesday night's Wizards-Heat game. Washington's John Wall has been suspended for one game without pay. Miami's Juwan Howard was fined $35,000 and Zydrunas Ilgauskas received a $25,000 fine.

Three players were ejected after a scuffle in the second quarter of Wednesday night's game between the Washington Wizards and Miami Heat.

John Wall tried to steal the ball from Miami's Zydrunas Ilgauskas at the high post. The Heat center appeared to elbow Wall in the face twice, causing the Wizards rookie to quickly unleash his frustration and punched Ilgauskas' ribs.

After Wall and Ilgauskas tied each other up, players from both teams immediately ran to separate the two. As Washington center JaVale McGee tried to intervene, Miami's Juwan Howard shoved him and another fight almost broke out.

Wall, Ilgauskas and Howard were all ejected and the Heat went on to win 123-107.

“I’m disappointed with how I reacted to it. I let my teammates. I let my organization down," Wall said after the game.
