The whole "Morning Joe" panel had harsh words for Donald Trump on Thursday morning, but none was as scathing as Mika Brzezinski.
The panel, which included The Huffington Post's Sam Stein, was reacting to Trump's interview with Bill O'Reilly, and they seemed to have as much disdain for his assertion that President Obama's citizenship status was extremely suspicious as O'Reilly did. (Joe Scarborough called it a "train wreck.) However, Brzeznski, who is a friend of Trump's, really let him have it:
"I don't like this, because I think this promotes hate and this brings us back, and I thought we had gotten past this. I really do, and I don't care how serious he feels about it, there are more important things we need to be talking about. He had a chance. Everybody wanted to hear what he had to say, because of exactly where we are in time in this country. And people were beginning to look at him, and I'm sorry, this is a bad call. OK? You didn't have the guts to say it, none of you had the guts to say it. I'll say it."
