James Franco: 'Social Media Is Over'

James Franco, who has been on Twitter for just a month and a half, is already disenchanted with the social media service.

According to Politico, Franco has said, in no uncertain terms, that he thinks social media is on its way out.

"Social media is over," he said. "Still up there. Going down. You heard it here first."

He said of his experience on Twitter thus far, "My thought was 'this is my Twitter. I can do whatever I want.' But certain companies I work with contacted me about what I was saying."

He also advised aspiring writers to spend more time typing and less time on Facebook.

"If you want to write, make the time. We all have an hour or two a day that can be used for surfing Facebook or writing. No one is going to beg any new writer to write," he explained.

Warren Buffett is also lukewarm on some social media services: he recently described social networking sites as "overpriced."
