Former NBA Player Arrested For Assault With Handgun

Former NBA player Oliver Miller was arrested on Tuesday morning in for allegedly "pistol whipping" a man at a barbecue in Maryland.

According to WUSA9.com, the former Phoenix Suns center was charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, using a handgun in a violent crime, possessing a handgun in a vehicle and disorderly conduct.

Police reportedly said that they were called out to Arnold, Md. for a report of assault. They tracked the 41-year-old down "based on eye witness accounts and a 9MM GLOCK magazine that was left behind at the scene."

Miller, who was drafted by the Suns in the 1992 draft with the 22nd overall pick, also played with the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors.
