Diddy Gets Police Escort, Angers Mayor Bloomberg

Diddy Doesn't Deserve Police Escort: Bloomberg

Seems like the more police escorts Diddy comes across, the more problems he sees.

The rap star requested help from the NYPD to get him from his New York concert to a New Jersey club on Friday night. Mayor Bloomberg is miffed that Diddy got special treatment.

"The bottom line is the police department should treat everybody exactly the same," Bloomberg said. "If you don't get a police escort, P. Diddy shouldn't."

The NYPD should only use motorcades when there's a security issue, the mayor said.

Diddy was due to chopper to Club 4 Sixty 6 in West Orange after his Hammerstein Ballroom show, but the FAA didn't clear the use of the club's helipad in time. So he demanded a police escort to get him through traffic. His motorcade was escorted by three NYPD squad cars and joined by New Jersey cops at the venue, sources said.

In February, Paris Hilton drew the ire of onlookers when she used a police escort to travel to a charity event for military families.
