Rex Ryan On Letterman: Jets Coach Asked About Brett Favre, Tripping Incident (VIDEO)

Letterman Asks Rex Ryan About Favre Scandal, Tripping Incident

Rex Ryan appeared on the "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday night to promote his new book, "Play Like You Mean It."

Letterman, of course, asked the New York Jets coach about a couple of the major stories that developed throughout the 2010 season.

"Were you the head coach when Brett Favre was taking pictures of his thing and sending it around?" Letterman asked.

Ryan laughed as Letterman said, "Talk about bulletin board material."

Letterman also asked Ryan about the tripping incident, in which ex-Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi tripped a Miami Dolphins player on the sideline during a punt return.

Fortunately the young man wasn't injured," Ryan said after a clip of the play was shown. "We had, I think, the best strength coach in football and he's no longer with us right now. It's unfortunate and hopefully he'll get another opportunity."
