Jed Mildon Lands First BMX Triple Backflip, Sets World Record (VIDEO)

WATCH: Incredible New BMX World Record

Jed Mildon, a 24-year-old New Zealander, made history this weekend when he landed the first-ever BMX triple backflip in a competition.

Mildon launched from a 65.5-foot (20 meter) ramp on Saturday at a competition in his hometown of Taupo on New Zealand's North Island. A representative from Guinness World Records was at the competition to verify the record.

Milton spent three months practicing the trick by landing in a foam pit and on an airbag.
