'Saturday Night Live' Japan (VIDEO)

Apparently Japan now has its own version of "Saturday Night Live" airing monthly, featuring the same opening and types of sketches as the original. The one major difference is the humor, which is described as having "a heavy influence of Japanese Konto style slap-stick comedy." And, of course, it's in Japanese.

A few things come to mind when watching the opening sequence below. First, it's pretty similar it is to the Japanese "30 Rock" opening (only maybe not as hilarious). Secondly, we wonder if the cast has ever seen the real "SNL"'s many Japan-inspired sketches? We'd love to see their version of the Japanese "Office" sketch, although that might get confusing.
