Tuesday night's WNBA game between the Phoenix Mercury and LA Sparks got a little chippy in the third quarter while Phoenix was clinging to a two-point lead. Los Angeles' Kristi Toliver was dribbling at the top of the key and tried to make a move on Ketia Swanier. With her back to Swanier, Toliver threw an elbow and nailed Swanier in the face. The Mercury guard fell down, started bleeding and and was helped off the court. Toliver was given a flagrant foul and Phoenix went on to win 101-82.
