'Contagion' Trailer: Steven Soderbergh Directs Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Laurence Fishburne & More (VIDEO)

Director Steven Soderbergh Gives Half Of Hollywood Deadly Bird Flu

Steven Soderbergh promises that he will soon retire from filmmaking. Apparently, he's looking to take down half of show business with him.

The first trailer for the Oscar-winner's upcoming pandemic thriller, "Contagion," has hit the web, killing off Matt Damon's wife, Gwyneth Paltrow as the world panics about the spreading bird flu. He's cast half of Hollywood to try and solve the crisis, including medical experts Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard.

One would have thought this crisis past a number of years ago, but, well, time to fear it again!

Following this film, the "Oceans Eleven" and "Erin Brockovich" director will take a very different tack, directing Channing Tatum in "Magic Mike," a story based on the actor's days as a stripper.

Then?

"When I turn 51, that'll be 25 years. And that's a lot of time to do one thing. And it'll be, like, 30 movies. And that's enough. I don't want to have that falloff. I want to go out with 'Abbey Road,'" Soderbergh recently told Esquire, alluding to the Beatles final album released while they were together as a band.
