'Dirty Girl' Trailer: Juno Temple Goes 80s (VIDEO)

After making her name in period -- and prehistoric -- films, Juno Temple is taking a shorter trip back in time for her upcoming indie comedy, "Dirty Girl."

Set in 1987, Temple plays a Oklahoman girl named Danielle who is a bit more hyper-sexualized than her conservative small town can appreciate. When she finds out a hidden truth about her long lost father, she sets out on the road -- joined by her gay best friend -- to find him.

Temple has starred in "Atonement" and "The Other Boelyn Girl," as well as "Year One." Coincidentally or not, she has another run away from home to Los Angeles film this year, "Little Birds," a drama with Leslie Mann. It's a busy year for Temple: she'll go back to her historical role roots with a lead role in "The Three Musketeers," alongside Orlando Bloom, Logan Lerman, Milla Jovovich and Christoph Waltz; she's got a role in "Small Apartments," a crime comedy with Johnny Knoxville and James Caan; and stars along Riley Keough in "Jack and Diane."

Next year, she'll play a part in the epic Batman finale, "The Dark Knight Rises."

As for "Dirty Girl," it's got a star-studded supporting cast, including Jovovich (again) and William H. Macy. For more on the film, click over to indiewire.
