'Gulp': The Largest Stop-Motion Animation Set Ever

Gulp! It's The Largest Stop-Motion Animation Set Ever

From the group that brought us the smallest stop-motion animation ever recorded last year-- now comes the largest set. On 11,000 sq ft of Pendine Beach in South Wales, Sumo Science, a branch of Aardman Animations, spent over five days filming a 1 minute-and-30 second stop-motion piece depicting a fisherman's day on the ocean. Although you may not be able to tell in the film, the entire movie was shot on smartphones and all design aspects are life-sized -- including the fisherman. So take a break and go to sea with a stop-motion animation from the studio that brought you "Wallace and Grommit." (Also, check out the behind the scenes footage below)
