Despite all the jobs lost due to the current American economy, one sector is thriving: Reality shows about cakes. With innumerable programs devoted to boutique dessert bakeries on cable right now, it seems to be the next bubble worth investing in.

But the other silver lining of these annoying shows is one of them inspired comedian Paul F. Tompkins' "Cake Boss" caricature, which he regularly performs on his podcast, The Pod F. Tompkast. For the finale of "Cake Boss," the Hulu show "The Morning After" invited Tompkins to replace the dialogue from "Cake Boss" with his own voiceovers to hilarious effect.

Suddenly, we can't wait for Ice-T's reality show, if there's a chance that Tompkins will get to show off his amazing interpretation of the rapper-turned-TV cop in a similar way. (By the way, be sure to check out this great interview with Tompkins over at Splitsider.)
