Weekend Agenda: Beerfest, Broncos Rally, 9/11 Memorial Events

It's the beginning of Oktoberfest, football season and, of course, a special remembrance on the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Here are our favorite Denver's weekend events.

Briarwood Beerfest: Beer season has begun, and Briarwood is kicking it off with a month-long beerfest. Friday's biergarten and live music marks the beginning of five weekend's worth of celebrations.

Back to Football Rally: Don your jersey, paint your face and make your way to Skyline Park for the Broncos' Back to Football Pep Rally. Players, music and prizes will be part of the festivities.

STS9: Electronics and instrumental rock will fill Red Rocks as Sound Tribe Sector 9 takes the stage on a two-night run. Friday's show opens with Snoop Dogg and Up Until Now; Saturday welcomes Savoy and LTJ Bukem.

Just for Laughs: If you weren't able to afford tickets to Jay Leno's performance at Ellie Caulkins Opera House this weekend, you can still get your chuckles with Darrell Hammond of SNL fame at a two-night Comedy Works show.

Art For Life by Project Angel Heart: Enjoy "hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, wine, desserts, good company and fine art" while supporting Project Angel Heart's mission to feed all ages fighting life-threatening illnesses. More than a hundred artists are donating to the silent auction this year; the juried salon will showcase numerous new artists.

Rascal Flatts: If you're missing Mayberry, pick up a few tix to the Rascal Flatts concert this weekend. Sara Evans and Justin Moore will also be performing.

New Belgium Tour de Fat: The touring bike fest lands in Denver Saturday with plenty of incentives to trade your auto for a two-wheeler. A parade, entertainment, games and live music will fill the day.

Les Miz: Enjoy a little redemption with this theatrical masterpiece based on Victor Hugo's classic. It's the last weekend to catch Les Misérables at the DCPA.

9/11 Memorial Events: Observe the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in NYC by joining the Red Rocks
Memorial Stair Climb
with a route designed to “equate to 110 stories” in honor of the Twin Towers.
