Weekend Agenda: Beerfest, Broncos & 9/11 Memorials

It's the beginning of Oktoberfest, football season and, of course, a special remembrance on the 10-year anniversary of 9/11. Here are our favorite Denver's weekend events.

Briarwood Beerfest: Beer season has begun, and Briarwood is kicking it off with a month-long beerfest. Friday's biergarten and live music marks the beginning of five weekend's worth of celebrations.Sept. 9, 6pm - 9pm1630 Eighth St., Golden; 303-279-3121

STS9: Electronics and instrumental rock will fill Red Rocks as Sound Tribe Sector 9 takes the stage on a two-night run. Art For Life by Project Angel Heart: Enjoy "hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, wine, desserts, good company and fine art" while supporting Project Angel Heart's mission to feed all ages fighting life-threatening illnesses. More than a hundred artists are donating to the silent auction this year; the juried salon will showcase numerous new artists. 9/11 Memorial Events: Observe the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in NYC by joining the Red Rocks Memorial Stair Climb with a route designed to “equate to 110 stories” in honor of the Twin Towers.
