Mayor Bloomberg Banishes Larry David From NYC In Curb Your Enthusiasm Finale (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bloomberg Kicks Larry David Out Of New York

Mayor Bloomberg initially canceled his planned cameo on "Curb Your Enthusiasm"'s season finale, after having received an invitation from President Obama to play golf, The New York Times reports.

Larry David, however, called the mayor and all but begged hizzoner to show up, saying they could shoot the scene a day earlier than planned. Bloomberg relented and squeezed David into his schedule, right before making an appearance on the Daily Show.

The resulting scene features Michael J. Fox, playing himself, speaking at an event to raise money for Parkinson's research. When Larry David unintentionally interrupts and Fox gets upset, the mayor steps up to the podium and officially banishes Larry from Gotham:

The HBO hit comedy, which usually takes place in Los Angeles, filmed its eighth season in New York, where Larry David grew up.

Bloomberg, who loves it when TV shows and films choose to shoot in New York, has appeared before in "Law and Order" and "30 Rock", and was also in "The Adjustment Bureau."

And The Wall Street Journal remembers when Bloomberg filmed a scene years ago for the first “Sex and the City” movie that ended up on the cutting-room floor.

“It turned out that they wanted more sex and less city,” he joked in 2008, adding. “That’s fine. Their loss.”
