The Norwegian Sky is an 848-foot ship that boasts Norwegian Cruise Line's "Freestyle" cruise experience. It can accommodate 2,004 passengers with a crew of 934. The ship cruises at a speed of 22 knots.
Ocean-View Bistro
The Norwegian Sky is home to a French bistro where every table has an ocean view. The ship also offers a variety of entertainment, such as the famous Second City comedy troupe and nightly shows in the 1,000-seat Stardust Lounge.
Accommodations
The Norwegian Sky offers interior
that can house up to four guests, ocean-view rooms, staterooms with balconies and a variety of suite and penthouse options. Rooms designed with families in mind are available in each of the categories. Interior staterooms are 147 square feet; ocean-view rooms are 149 square feet; balcony rooms are 202 square feet; and suites range from 402 square feet to 835 square feet.
Rates
Cruise rates on the Norwegian Sky range from a three-day round-trip excursion from Miami to the Bahamas at $179 per person for an inside stateroom to a four-day round-trip excursion from Miami to the Bahamas at $1,499 per person for a suite. Prices increase in the winter months. Children younger than age 2 receive a reduced fare. Certain itineraries offer discounts on the third and fourth guests in the same stateroom. Infants less than 6 months old are not eligible for travel on Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Check the website for last-minute and online deals. The website also has a "best price guaranteed" policy.
Parasailing, Snorkeling And More
The Norwegian Sky offers a four-day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas with stops on Grand Bahama Island, Great Stirrup Bay and Nassau. Shore excursions include

Restaurants that are available for an extra charge offer French and Italian cuisine. Room service is complimentary from 5 a.m. to midnight. There is a delivery charge for room service from midnight to 5 a.m.

The maiden voyage of the Norwegian Sky was Aug. 9, 1999. The ship was originally ordered by Costa Cruises but was completed for Norwegian Cruise Line.
