Phillies vs. Cardinals LIVE UPDATES: NLDS Game 2 In Philadelphia

It took a little longer than expected, but the Philadelphia Phillies exploded late in NLDS Game 1 to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 11-6. Manager Tony La Russa shook the starting rotation up for Game 2 and decided to throw out ace Chris Carpenter, who will pitch on three days rest for the first time in his career. Now we get the fantastic matchup of Cliff Lee vs. Chris Carpenter on Sunday night, and Justin Verlander vs. C.C. Sabathia in Game 2 of the Tigers-Yankees ALDS series on Monday night. Does it get any better than that?

Will Carpenter and the Cards be able to steal one in Philadelphia? Or will the Phillies take a stronghold on the series and head to St. Louis up 2-0? Scroll down for live updates!
