When U.S. Army Sergeant Angel Neal was deemed unfit for duty before her intended third tour in Iraq, she felt lost, CBSNews.com reports.

But Neal, who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, has found new hope -- along with hundreds of other supportive war veterans -- in Ride 2 Recovery, a foundation that organizes week-long cycling trips around the country for emotionally and physically wounded military members.

Since participating with 200 other cyclists in the most recent 480-mile journey from San Francisco to Santa Monica, Calif., Neal has a brand new outlook on life.

"If I can do this, I can beat PTSD," she told the news network. "I am so happy to have myself back."
