Jon Voight: 'Being Reunited With My Angie Is Very Precious To Me'

They've had an on-again, off-again relationship for the past decade, but Jon Voight is speaking out about why he's ended the years of silence with formerly estranged daughter Angelina Jolie. With Brad Pitt as an instigator, the Hollywood father-daughter pair reunited last year in Venice, then again in Paris, while Jolie was filming "The Tourist". Though both have remained relatively mum about the details of their reconciliation -- which began in 2001 when Voight made a television appearance voicing concern that his daughter had "serious mental problems" -- the two had been photographed together in recent years. And in February of this past year, Voight, who is a longtime Israel supporter, expressed that he hoped Jolie would travel with him to the country, saying "That would be a nice thing before I go."

Now the Daily Mail reports Voight offering a bit more information about their relationship, citing a great love for his daughter's six children. He gushed to the paper: "I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life. It gave me back my daughter and my family. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me. I adore my grandchildren, they are my great love. It makes me so emotional and grateful."
