Kevin Spacey Serves As American Airline's Latest Spokesman

After facing rumors of bankruptcy, American Airlines seems to be trying to perk up its image by bringing back actor Kevin Spacey to appear in a series of ads.

The ads will be aimed at promoting the airline's "philosophy of understanding the individual flyer," reports Breaking Travel News.

Spacey's 60-second advert "The Individual" is one of a series of American Airlines ads that will appear on UK television beginning Saturday.

"Launching our new advert demonstrates AA's continued commitment to the UK market," Maria Sebastian, vice president, sales and marketing EMEA at American Airlines told Breaking Travel News. "London is one of our most important international gateways with flights operating to seven US destinations, and we invest heavily in educating the travel trade on our premium product."

Spacey is not the only celebrity to align with an airline. Perhaps the most known example is that of John Travolta, who plugs Qantas. Although, apparently his video introduction for the airline was upsetting to flight crew. Travolta is also Business Aircraft Brand Ambassador for Bombardier.
